Jarryd Dollard
Hailing from Miami, FL, Jarryd Dollard is an extraordinary multi-talented artist renowned for his creative brilliance. A master of saxophone, clarinet, flute, EWI, piano, composition, and playwriting, he captivates audiences with soulful melodies, magnetic humor, and high-energy performances. Jarryd’s role as lead saxophonist at Orlando’s prestigious BB KING Blues Club and his membership in the BB KING All-Star Band showcased his musical prowess until the club’s closure in 2020 due to the pandemic.
His musical journey has crisscrossed the globe, enchanting audiences across Europe, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico, Grand Cayman, St. Thomas, and Puerto Rico during his tenure with the BB King All-Star Band aboard the Holland America Cruise Ship from 2014 to 2016.
From illustrious stages like the Straz Center for the Performing Arts and Dr. Phillips Center to his captivating Duo Act performances at the Hard Rock Tampa, Jarryd’s music resonates, creating a unique vibe that captures the audience’s attention; Jarryd’s Motto is “When the lights come on it’s SHOWTIME!”
Jarryd's academic journey led to a degree in Technical Communications and New Media from the University of South Florida, supplemented by a minor in Music. He actively participated and gained memberships in organizations, Progressive Black Men Inc., and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. alongside his academic pursuits.
Beyond music and academics, Jarryd’s diverse passions led him to graduate from “The Manhattan Hair Styling Academy,” earning a Barbers License. A pivotal moment arrived in November 2018 when Jarryd Dollard established The Signature Jazz Barber Lounge in Hunters Green, Tampa, FL. This visionary haven serves as a sanctuary for artists and creatives, offering a space to cultivate their distinctive signature styles amidst an ambiance infused with jazz and boundless creativity.
